Post-surgery rehabilitation in Giżycko.
Knee, hip, shoulder, Achilles tendon, cruciate ligaments. I guide the whole process after surgery: scar and swelling work, restoring range of motion and control, and then full load. I set the pace by how healing is going.
After which procedures.
Most often after anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction, meniscus procedures, and shoulder, hip and Achilles tendon surgery. I work with athletes who want to return to competition and with people who want to move freely in everyday life.
Working with your doctor.
I run rehabilitation in contact with the treating physician and, for athletes, also with the strength and conditioning coach. For the first visit bring your hospital discharge, the surgery report and imaging results.
Stages of rehabilitation.
Scar and swelling
The first stage after surgery: working with the scar, swelling and pain, following the surgeon's recommendations.
Range of motion and control
Restoring joint mobility and motor control: mobilisations, stretching of ligaments, tendons and fascia, and exercises. The goal is full range of motion and being able to trust the operated joint again.
Full load
A gradual return to load, activity and sport. Each next step depends on test results. "It doesn't hurt anymore" isn't a reason on its own to start running again.
Frequently asked questions.
When should rehabilitation start after surgery?
The timing and scope of the first exercises are set by the surgeon. Bring the recommendations from your discharge and I'll match the work to the stage of healing.
How long does rehabilitation after ACL reconstruction take?
It depends on the procedure, healing and your goal. Returning to sport takes longer than returning to everyday function. We set the plan after the assessment and review it at each stage.
How much does a visit cost?
Manual therapy (40 min) costs 150 PLN. Current prices and slots are on Booksy.
Do I need a referral?
No. You don't need a referral for a private visit. Just book on Booksy or call.
