Sports and therapeutic massage in Giżycko.
Pre-competition, recovery and therapeutic massage have different goals and are done differently. I learned my techniques over years with the national biathlon and ice hockey teams, including three Olympic Games.
Who it's for.
For people who train regularly or do hard physical work. I use sports massage for recovery after intense exercise and for overloaded muscles. You don't need to compete to make use of it.
Types of massage.
Sports massage with stretching is a firm full-body massage (excluding the abdomen) using active kneading and deep stripping techniques, combined with stretching of muscles, ligaments and tendons and trigger point work. Therapeutic massage covers the whole body with a focus on problem areas: classic, deep tissue and myofascial techniques, and manual therapy when indicated.
What a session looks like.
Conversation
What you train, when your next competition is, what hurts or feels tight. That decides how deep and at what pace I work.
Massage
Before a race it looks different than after a hard training week. I set pressure and pace based on what we discussed.
Consultation
We talk about your training process: load, recovery and when it's worth coming back.
